Magical Lights and Santa

Last Sunday for Nicholas's birthday we went and saw the lights at Lake Lanier Islands resort. They were amazing! Below are some of our favorites. We also got to see Santa while we were there. Nicholas was all about it, Nolan not so much. He wanted nothing to do with him. So funny!

Nolan loved the train. Most lights he looked at and said, "I don't like that". When we saw the train he yelled, "I like the train!"

My little pilgrim man

Nicholas made his stage debut yesterday in the kindergarten Thanksgiving play. Academy Awards here we come! He was so excited to be able to sing on the stage in the Cafeteria. He was also really excited that Grandmomma came to see him perform. The play was really cute. There were pilgrims, Indians and turkeys. After the play we all got to go back to his classroom for a Thanksgiving feast. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. So much to be thankful for this year!

Happy Birthday Nicholas!

Happy 6th Birthday to my Nicholas! I can't believe I have a 6 year old! It's amazing to look back and see how much he has grown and changed over the years. Such an amazing little person. I love being with him everyday and look forward to seeing what he accomplishes as he grows.

We celebrated his birthday with a snake party yesterday. He has wanted a snake party for a year so I gave in. It was a great party. I think we had 12 kids in all. The reptile man was so entertaining and I learned so much as did the kids. Enjoy the pics below.

Peanut Festival

We loaded up and headed to Dothan this weekend for the National Peanut Festival. This is the first time I've been in 3 years. Nicholas and Nolan were so excited about the parade and the rides.

Saturday morning we went to the parade with my parents. My sister Jamie and her kids met us there. Nicholas waved at everyone in the parade. He danced with the music. It was so much fun to watch him.

After the parade we ate lunch and then headed out to the fair. We played games, rode rides and had a blast. Poor Nolan chickened out at every ride, but he still had fun. Maybe next year he'll be up for riding some rides. He loved playing the games though! Nicholas hit 3 balloons with his 3 darts!

Halloween

What a weekend! I love Halloween! Our celebration started Friday night with Freaky Friday at Nicholas's school. What an event! They had bouncy houses in the gym, games outside, dinner and dancing in the cafeteria, and even mummy wrapped teachers! We all had a blast.

My army men! Nolan told me "NO" when I asked if he wanted his face painted.

Nolan - fishing for a prize

Sunday we headed out for trick or treating. Nolan finally let me paint his face, as you can see below. Both boys had a blast. It was funny watching Nolan get scared. He wouldn't go up to a door unless other kids were with him. Funny story, at one house the man opened the door with scary mask on. The other kids were fine, but Nolan turned and ran back to us. His eyes were huge. The other kids all got candy for Nolan and brought it back for him. So sweet. The man took his mask off and brought him some candy as well. He really cleaned up at that house!
