Happy Early Birthday to Me!

Some early birthday presents to myself :)

First, the light bulb blew in the kitchen light, so Jason decided we needed to get rid of it.

and get these instead! Love them! Of course, now I will have to paint the ceiling to repair where the other light was, but totally worth it. Which brings up another question...paint the ceiling white or a color?

I also got this from overstock.com...my favorite website.

New rug for under the kitchen table. Made the table look so much better.

Tooth Fairy

Nicholas lost his first tooth on Sunday, January 9th and got his first visit from the tooth fairy. He was so excited! He woke us up at 4am to let me know that the tooth fairy had come! He got $2!

Isn't he such a big boy? He is such a joy. He was cracking us up yesterday on the way home from church singing Oh My darling Clementine. At first he was singing Oh McDonald, Oh McDonald. We corrected him on that and then he started singing Oh My darling, Roll Tide. Jason told him it was Clementine, but Nicholas and I both agreed we liked his version better :)

Winter Wonderland

We are living in a winter wonderland here in Atlanta. I grew up in the south and have never seen this much snow. We had about 5 inches at our house. It fell Sunday night and as of right now (Tuesday night) hasn't melted. Tomorrow will be day our Snow Day #3 from school. Luckily, we all love each other so we haven't killed each other yet. Being stuck in the house for 3 days is starting to wear on all of us. Thank the lord for great neighbors so at least we have gotten to interact with others! Doesn't look like it will thaw until Friday when we finally get above freezing.

More sledding with the neighborhood kids. We also had a neighborhood snow ball fight yesterday. Mostly the adults :)

New Years in Orlando

After leaving Dothan on the 28th, we headed down to Orlando for New Years. So much fun. Really weird experiencing 70-80 temps in December. The boys loved being able to swim...still a little to cold for me.

The 29th, we headed over to GatorLand. The boys of course loved it. The gators ranged from huge to small and there were a ton of them. Nicholas even got up close and personal with one of them...see pic below.

The 30th Jason worked so the boys and I spent the day at Downtown Disney and swam. Nice relaxing day for all of us.
The 31st we braved the crowds and headed over to Disney World. Note...if you must go on one of the busiest days, go early. We got there at opening and were able to ride almost everything we wanted to before 1 when the crowds started to get crazy! They actually closed the park around 3:30pm and wouldn't let anyone else in. It was still a lot of fun.

We got to meet Buzz!

My sister and her family came down as well. The last time we were both here at the same time was when I was 8!

We got to see the x-mas decorations and shows. Both were great!

As you can see the boys had a great time! Nicholas was tall enough to ride space mountain this time. Jason and I rode it with him and his cousin Jake. After it was over Nicholas stated that he never wanted to do that again! Hopefully he will change his mind in the future. Nolan also got to ride his first big boy roller coaster, Big Thunder Railroad. He loved it! He rode it twice.
We were supposed to go here on the 1st to see the whomping that Bama gave Michigan State
but Jason got strep throat and was really not in any shape to go, so we listened to it on the radio and headed back to Atlanta.
All in all, a great trip!

Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas! We celebrated by going to mass on Christmas eve and then came home, ate dinner, and got ready for Santa.

Guess what....he came!

We were all really excited to wake up and see he had visited!

After seeing what all he bought us, we opened presents.

Then surprise....was discovered it was snowing! My 1st white Christmas!

We then loaded up the car and headed over to Birmingham for x-mas with Jason's family. The kids got to play in the snow some more.

We then loaded up the car again and headed to Dothan for x-mas with my family. We had a great time seeing family and friends. We even go to go out for a kid's free dinner with my sister and brother-in-law Don thanks to my parents!
