1st Day of Preschool

Nolan started Preschool this morning! This mommy misses him, but is loving the quiet house right now!

He started a new school this year, so he was a little nervous. He was all smiles leaving and walking in and then clung to us for dear life in his room. I know that he is having a blast right now though.

He looked so handsome this morning and so grown-up with his backpack and lunchbox.

Take me out to the ballgame

We spent Saturday night at the Braves vs Diamondbacks game at Turner Field. Great game. Back to Back homeruns in the 7th for the Braves. The boys had a great time and now Nicholas wants to play baseball again!

First Day of School and celebrations

I can't believe the summer is over, at least for Nicholas! Nolan still has one more week. We celebrated back to school this past Saturday with some friends at our neighborhood pool with some swimming and pizza. I think we had 6 families for a total of 22 people. The kids had a blast swimming and playing and I had so much fun catching up with friends that I didn't take a single pic. Sorry :)

Yesterday Nicholas started first grade. As we were walking up to the school he looked at me and said it felt good to be back! He said yesterday was fun and then feel asleep on the couch for an afternoon nap! Must have been a great day!

Weekend full of visits

What a fun filled weekend full of visits! The boys and I headed towards Auburn Saturday morning and spent the day with my friend Abby and her boys and little girl. I've known Abby since kindergarten and I love that our boys get along! It was a great day. After leaving her house, the boys and I continued our journey south and headed to Dothan to visit Grandmomma and Granddaddy. We also got to see Aunt Jamie and her crew. All the kids went and saw the smurfs and then spent the afternoon playing. A great visit! We headed back home on Monday and stopped in Newnan to see one of my friends and tour her new home. Had such a great time everywhere that I forgot to get out the camera!

Tuesday we went to the GA aquarium. I love going there. They recently opened a Dolphin exhibit and this was our first time seeing it. It was awesome!

Petting sting rays and baby sharks

The boys with there new friends. Nicholas got a whale shark and Nolan got a sting ray

Last night we picked up the newest member of our family. A 8 week old standard Schnauzer that we are calling Bailey. She took to the boys really fast and it quickly making herself at home.

Manasota Key

Saturday morning we took the boys are their first plane ride and headed to Manasota Key, Fl which is about a hour south of Sarasota. The boys loved the plane. As we were boarding Nicholas turned to me and said, "Mommy, when the plane goes we are going to hit the building!" I explained to him that it would back up and everything would be okay. The people behind us really got a kick out of his statement!

The beach was beautiful and I loved the island. Bay on one side and ocean on the other. Tons of shells and fossilized shark teeth. So neat. We all enjoyed searching for them and bought a ton home.

We spent a relaxing couple of days on the beach and at the pool and really enjoyed exploring Manasota Key and Venice which was about 20 minutes away.

Can't believe school starts in 11 days! Up first, a trip to Auburn to see old friends, trip to Grandmomma's and then the GA Aquarium.

We rented a camero. The boys, big and small, loved it!
