Happy Birthday Nicholas!

On the 21st, Nicholas turned 7! I still can't believe that I have a 7 year old. It seems like yesterday he was a baby.

He woke up at 6am and was ready to open his present. He had 7 balloons to pop that had a dollar in each one. He thought that was so cool. His present...an electric guitar! He was so surprised!

At his school that day, they had special visitors day. My mom made the trip up to go to it. Only Grandma would travel 4 hours to see him sing for 5 mintues. He loved having her there!

We celebrated that night at his favorite restaurant, Taco Mac, and then icecream at Cold Stone. A great birthday!

Pan Can Walk

On Saturday the 19th, we headed to downtown Atlanta for the Pan Can Walk. Our team, Walking for Pops, had a great time raising money for such a great cause that is close to our hearts.

Nolan made a sign for his Pops!

Nicholas made a sign too!

After the walk, we played in the water rings...good news, we didn't get wet!

Attention - Nicholas turns 7!

Sorry for the late post....Friday, the 18th, we celebrated Nicholas's birthday with an army party. 22 kids (yes, that is correct, not a typo) came and we survived! The kids had a great time playing in fort alexander, eating pizza, shooting Nerf guns and running the obstacle course in our backyard. We even had a search and rescue where they had to find plastic soldiers I had hidden in the backyard. It was a great time and I can't believe my first born is 7!

Ready for some fun!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday to the world's best Mom and Grandmomma ever! We wish we could celebrate with you tonight. I am so glad I get to see you tomorrow and spend the day shopping with you! I feel so blessed to have you as a Mom and to also count you as a friend!

Invention Convention

Today was invention convention at Nicholas's school for the 1st graders. Nicholas invented the coleash - a collar and leash in one so you never have to fight your dog to get the leash on. We had so much fun last Saturday night creating it and a poster to describe our invention.

At the convention explaining his invention to all the visitors.

It was so cool seeing what other kids came up with. My favorites were the Santa Cam and Gloves with glue to help you catch the ball.

Halloween

Halloween! My 2nd favorite holiday! We start thinking about costume way back in August! This year Nicholas was a Jedi and Nolan decided on batman! We headed out to Trick or Treat in our neighborhood with some friends and for the first time ever went to every house. That is about 96 houses I believe! Of course, about 1/3 weren't home or answering, but needless to say we got a ton of candy.

1st stop. Can still hold our bags. By the end of the night, Jason and I were holding them and they were overflowing

Batter up!

Sunday we had Nicholas's end of the season baseball party. We had a kids vs parents game. So much fun. Nolan got to bat and got a hit and scored a run! Go Nolan! Of course, the kids beat the adults! Great game! It was a wonderful season. I loved watching how much Nicholas improved over the season. Best moment was when he caught a pop-up as catcher and got the batter out! Can't wait for next season!

Lost in the Corn!

Saturday we headed up to Cagle's with some friends to venture into the corn maze! Good news, we made it out and didn't have to call 911!

Freaky Friday

Friday we all headed to Nicholas's school for their fall carnival, Freaky Friday. Nicholas dressed as the Joker, Jason as Clark Kent, Nolan as superman and myself as Smurfette. It was a wonderful time. We played games, the kids jumped in the inflatables, ate pizza, danced and got to see tons of Nicholas's schoolmates in cool costumes. Can't wait till next year!

Cub Scout Pumpkin Craving

The Thursday before Halloween the cub scouts had a pack pumpkin craving contests. Nicholas and I craved a vampire pumpkin and he won a most Halloweenie award!

He also got to throw a pie in his den's leader face for selling his goal during the popcorn sale!
