A Weekend with Mickey

Friday afternoon we surprised the kids with a trip to Disney.  Jason was already down there for work so we facetimed him at 4:30 and told the kids where we were going and then the boys and I headed to the airport for our flight.  The kids were excited!  Best part, Jason's family was already down there!

Saturday we got up and went to the Magic Kingdom.  Had a great day with the extended family, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Grandma.

Riding Dumbo...Nolan's Favorite!

Sunday, we split up and we (plus Grandma) headed for Epcot while the others went to Animal Kingdom.  Another great day.  Nolan was really excited that he was tall enough to ride Mission Space!  A wonderful weekend!  Came up early Monday and slept!  By early, I mean early...we woke up to head to the airport at 3am for a 5:30am flight!

Breakfast with the big guy!

We got to have breakfast with the big guy himself at Church a couple of weeks ago.  We had pancakes (Yummy!) and got to meet Santa and have pictures taken.  Nolan asked for Missy Mouse again and Nicholas said to surprise him!

All Aboard!

Saturday afternoon we headed up to Chattanooga for an annual ride on the Polar Express to visit the North Pole.  Nicholas is getting to the age where he (1) thinks he is too cool for such things and (2)  Is trying to decide if he believes in all of this anymore.  So sad, but I think this might be the last year he believes :(  Regardless, we all still had fun...even Mr too cool for school Nicholas!

Love this pic...the look on both of their faces is priceless!

Nolan and Merry are ready!

The chefs bringing us our cookies and Yoohoos!

Jason, Merry and Nolan.  Nolan was to busy looking out the window of the train to take a picture.  Doesn't want to miss the North Pole!

Nolan and Santa.  This is the first year that Nolan went right up to him.  All he wants is Missy Mouse.  Not Mickey, Missy.  His class does a program called zoo phonics and the M animal is Missy Mouse.  She is a grey beanie baby mouse.  Hopefully Santa has got this covered!

Nicholas and Santa.  All he wants is a go cart, which I told him Mom and Dad vetoed with Santa.  So he told Santa to surprise him!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

The weather outside might not feel like Christmas (really shorts in December!), but it is still beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here!

Today Nolan and I met a friend at the Alpharetta Community Center for Cookies with the Clauses.  We had a great time.  He got to decorate cookies, make some crafts, get a tattoo, dance and visit with the Clauses.  He actually sat on Santa's lap this year...first time ever!

We also celebrated Nicholas's 8th birthday down there.  We stopped on the way at my parent's, so he got to see just about everyone on his actual birthday....Lucky kid!

Surprise!

Last weekend we threw my Mom a surprise party to celebrate her sixty years of life!  We had the party in Dothan at my sister's house.  It was a great night.  Several of my moms friends came and one of her sister's came as well.  Her brother wasn't able to make it, but called during the party to talk to her.  Best part is we were able to keep it a surprise!  We had wonderful food, a great football game to watch (roll tide), and made some great memories.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!  We had a wonderful time tricking and treating this year with our neighbors!

Nolan went as Iron Man.  He wanted his face painted since Nicholas's was and refused to wear the mask
