two thumbs up

The movie was really good. I highly recommend it if you like musicals.

Not much going on over here. Just spending a lazy Sunday afternoon with the kids.

Happy Thursday

I hope everyone has had a great week. Ours has been good and hot here in Atlanta. It looks like we are finally going to get some rain today. It has gotten very dark and windy outside my office window in the past 5 minutes. I just hope it clears up some before I leave to get the kids at 4. I've pretty much given up on my flowers this year. It has been so hot the past couple of weeks and I got sick of pulling the hose out for my watering days. Alpharetta still has watering restrictions in place due to the drought. I can water 3 days a week before 10am by hand. Sounds fun right? Now you see why I've given up :)

The boys are doing good. Nolan is eating more table food everyday and Nicholas is busy being a 3 going on 4 year old. He loves to question my about everything! He is getting ready to move up to the 4 year old room at school on Monday. He is sad to leave Ms. Angel behind, but excited that he has gotten bigger and can move up a room. He has been telling everyone lately that he has gotten bigger.

I get a girl's night out tomorrow night. I'm so excited. We are going to dinner and then to see Mama Mia. I'll let you know how the movie is.

What a weekend

What a fun weekend! We had some friends over Saturday night for a BBQ. It was a great time! The kids had so much fun playing with each other and Jason and I enjoyed some grown-up company. I made the best drinks. They are called Beergaritas. Here is the recipe:
1 (12 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
6 - 12 ounces tequila
3 (12 ounce) Mexican-style beers (I used Corona Light)
Ice
Lime slices for garnish

In a pitcher, stir together limade and tequila until well blended. Add the beers. Pour into glasses over ice and garish with the lime slices.
The boys started out the weekend by playing Friday night. They ended up under the dining room table!
Tonight, Nicholas wanted to throw a party for his toy monster. This is the result. He decorated the kitchen with the couch pillows and every blanket we had in the den. He wanted to make sure there was enough seats for all his guests :)

Funny story...as Nicholas was pulling all the couch cushions into the kitchen, I kept telling him that we had enough. Of course, he didn't listen. I finally said N-O...NO. He looked at me and asked what did Yes start with! It was so funny.

My sweet Nolan

Here's a video of my sweet Nolan doing his version of crawling. That's a batman mask he is going for in case anyone was wondering :)
