Messy Boys

Have you ever wondered...how does one go to bed with a clean house and wake up to this?

Every Blanket we own on the floor

All the toys under the table and all the chairs pulled out

Another view of the table
The answer....Daddy and boys and sleeping Mommy = Mess....how well, I'll take my sleep over a clean house anyday :)

My sweet Nolan...how can you get mad at that face?

Live from our house to yours....Nicholas!

Nicholas loves the cartoon Phineas and Ferb on the Disney Channel. One of the episodes has them singing a song...Nicholas now sings it everywhere. Hope you enjoy his version :)

Spring is in the Air

The weather here has been great the last couple of days! I can't believe it is February and the weather is so nice. The boys have played outside everyday since Saturday and loved it! We have played in the sand, swung, rode the 4-wheeler, rode bikes, etc. It has been great!

Nolan is fighting a little bug...he was sick all day Saturday but has gotten better everyday. Hopefully, it is almost over.

Hope your weather has been as nice as mine!

The Alexander Stimulus Plan

Never let it be said that the Alexanders didn't do their part for the economy. In the past week, we have "stimulated" the economy by traveling, doing home improvement and health care costs.

Saturday, Jason and I parted ways as I headed to Montgomery for a baby shower for one of my Phi Mu Sisters and Jason and the boys headed to Birmingham to see Jason's Mom and go to the Alabama / GA Basketball game in Tuscaloosa. I had a great time catching up with some of my sorority sisters. I haven't seen some of them in ages. After the shower I headed back to Atlanta, but stopped in Auburn first to see my friend Abby for lunch. I've known Abby since 2nd grade! She is always so much fun to visit with. I got back to Atlanta around dinner time, ate a quick bite and then started painting the family room. More on that later :)
Jason and the boys came back Sunday afternoon. They had a great time visiting with family and watching the game. Nicholas was so excited that he got to see Big Al.
I would have loved to finish painting on Sunday, but my body decided to get sick instead. My 4pm on Sunday I was in the bed with a sore throat. I woke up Monday morning and couldn't move or swallow. Jason had to come work from home to take care of me. What a great husband! He drove me to the doc after lunch and of course, I had strep throat. I got a shot in the tush and was able to eat and drink some that night. Tuesday was spent regaining my strength. I never knew a sore throat could make you feel so bad! Yesterday, I was able to go back to work. And last night, we finally finished the room. It was driving me crazy! I hate to have a mess and everything was piled in the dining room. See below for pics of our masterpiece :)

The Before Shot

After Shots
This is why painting the room was such a pain....high ceilings!

I am so glad to be done! I love the color and it looks so good with the rest of the house. This was the only room in the whole house we had never painted. The color is potter's clay by Glidden at Home Depot.

Of course, that's not the only home improvement we did this past week. Jason hung my new chandelier in the master bath last week also. I love it also!

Before Shot - Ugly lights

After Shot - Pretty Light! Thanks Mom and Dad!

Of course, a post wouldn't be complete without some of my sewing creations. I did this 2 weekends ago.

For my patriotic little baby boy!

This is my last little girl outfit I had to make. It is for my friend Stacy's little girl, Lucy. So Suprise Stacy! If you are reading this, it's on it way!
