Labor Day Weekend

We spent Saturday and Sunday at Jason's Mom's lake place at Logan Martin Lake. The boys love riding the boat and jet ski. The weather was beautiful!

I love this pic...a little brotherly love. Fighting over who gets to pretend drive

Enjoying the ride

The big event of the weekend. All the men in the family play golf in memory of Jason's Dad, Earl, who passed away in 2008 of pancreatic cancer. The money raised goes to PanCan. The young guys vs the Old guys. 2nd year in a row the Old guys won! The event concludes with dinner at Uncle Charles's house on the lake. So nice to see everyone.

Off to Kindergarten we go!

Today was Nicholas's 1st day of Kindergarten! I can't believe he is old enough to go. I still remember he so vividly as a baby. Really, where did the last 5 1/2 years go?

We started the morning with a pancake breakfast, at the request of Nicholas. Nolan enjoyed them as well.

Jason and the boys waiting for the bus. Nolan was a little sad to see Nicholas get on without him, but he made it through. He starts a new school year today as well....he is moving up the to the 3 year old room at daycare.

Getting on the bus with his friend Maddie. They are actually in the same class at school. They got on and sat together on the bus. It was so sweet. No tears at all from Nicholas, but I'll admit, there were a couple from me. I can't wait for 2:50 when the bus drops him back off so I can hear all about his day!

Summer Recap

Sorry for not posting lately. Been a busy, but fun summer.

Jason and the boys enjoyed a relaxing time at the beach with his family over the fourth. The boys and I and Jason have spent timeless hours playing in the backyard and the pool and hanging with the other neighborhood kids.

Jason and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary with a trip to Chicago. The boys got to spend the time with my parents and cousins. They love going to visit grandmomma and granddaddy and are already counting down the days till the Peanut Festival. Nicholas keeps talking about going to "grandmomma's" Fair!

Transformers 3 was filming right next to our hotel! So cool. We got to see them film an explosion.

Me on the top of the John Hancock Building.

We also spent a day at Lake Martin for my family reunion...Mother's side. It was wonderful to see everyone. Can't wait till next year!

Of course, we went the annual touch a truck here in Alpharetta. The boys look forward to it every year. This year, Jason arranged for Frito Lay to have a truck there as well. The boys that it was so cool that Daddy had a truck there!

The big event last week was open house at Nicholas's new school. I can't believe he starts Kindergarten tomorrow! Loved his teacher and hoping for Align Lefta great year!

Nicholas also started playing flag football this past Saturday. His team won 27-14. He had so much fun and called grandmomma to tell her all about it once the game was over. He can't wait for all his family to come watch him play!
