The most magical place on earth

After school got out on the 18th, we packed up and headed to the most magical place on earth...The wonderful world of Disney!  The kids were so excited to go again.  We stayed at Fort Wilderness again and had a magical time!

Day 1 - We headed to Epcot.  The flower show was going on so we got to see lots of awesome displays like the mickey below.  We ate lunch in France and got to meet Chef Remy!  He was so cute!  We rode some great rides.  Nolan loved the Nemo ride and Nicholas loved Soaring and Mission Space.  He got to ride both twice since Nolan wasn't going anywhere near either of them!

Day 2- We started our day at Chef Mickey's and had breakfast with Mickey and his friends.  Nolan was the most excited about meeting Mickey.  After breakfast we went to the Magic Kingdom.  Nolan got a new friend (see the stuffed Mickey below).  It never left his side.  I think we rode almost every ride in the park.  My favorite and Jason's  -the Haunted Mansion.  Kids didn't like it as much this time.  Nolan's favs - Dumbo!  Rode it twice and smiled the whole time.  Also loved Buzz lightyear.  Nicholas's favs - Pirates - rode it 3 times!  Splash Mountain and Space Mountain.  My little thrill seeker!

Day 3 - We took the day off from the parks.  We ate lunch in downtown Disney at T-Rex and went to the lego store.  We then rented boats at Fort Wilderness and rode around in the water in front of the Magic Kingdom.  Really cool!  Last, we hit the Fort Wilderness pool and Nicholas went down the water slide about 50 times.  Great, relaxing day!

Day 4 - We went to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Neat park.  We rode the star wars ride about 3 times.  Both boys loved it.  The Indian Jones Stunt Show was awesome.  Nicholas and Jason both loved the rock and roll roller coaster.  Me, not so much  :)  Nolan got to meet Mickey again and was so excited again.  He was grinning from ear to ear and told me very seriously that there was no one inside, that it was really Mickey!  I love the innocence!  We also met Phineas and Ferb and they scared Nolan to death.

Day 5 - Animal Kingdom!  The safari was really cool.  Nicholas tackled Mount Everest and declared it the coolest ride ever.  I will admit it was really fun!  Both boys rode dinosaur twice and Nolan kept his eyes closed the entire time!

Last Day of School

Nicholas's last day of 1st grade was Friday, May 18th.  I can't believe how fast the year went by and can't believe that my oldest is now a second grader!

End of the Year Party

Nolan finished off his preschool year with an end of the year luau yesterday.  They listened to a parent read books about the beach and played games on their beach towels.  I made everyone a bucket with their name on it and the other moms filled the buckets with goodies.  Great end to a great year!  Now on to Pre-K!

Nolan and Mrs Parrish.  Such a wonderful teacher!

Both of Nolan's teachers - both are great!

Young Astronauts Day

Nicholas participated in young astronauts day at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins on Saturday.  It was such a fun day.  I got to tag along with him so I got to have fun too!

We learned about tornadoes and vortexes with tornado tubes.  Got to have a tornado relay race and our team won!  We got to bring home our tornado tube and one for Nolan so still having fun at home!

We learned about planets and rockets.  Made the solar system out of play dough and rockets out of solo cups.  So much fun!

Got to play in a plane simulator

Nicholas taught his group how to make paper airplanes. I was so proud of him.  He was a great teacher and helped the kids out.

We got to see lots of cool planes.  This was our fav!
