Pumpkins, Pumpkins and some Spiders

Yesterday was a day full of pumpkins and spiders. What else would you expect around Halloween time?

It started with a field trip to the pumpkin patch with Nicholas's class. We got to go a hayride, drink cider and see some animals.

We continued with pumpkins by craving ours last night. Of course, Nicholas picked a hard one, but it was worth it in the end.
Not bad for my 1st craving that isn't a face :)

I went to Target yesterday and they had their costumes at 30% off. Nicholas is having a superhero b-day party in a couple of weeks so I got this black spiderman for 6.99 just in case he wants to wear it. He was in love and called me the best mommy :)

Weekend Update

Another busy weekend in Atlanta.

Started out Saturday morning with the breast cancer 3 mile walk. I went with my friend Julie and her little girl. It was a lot of fun.

Then it was off to the soccer fields to see Nicholas play. He did a lot better and actually went after the ball some.

This is how you keep a 2 year old off the field...food :)

Sunday, Nicholas had another b-day party. It was a costume party so we got to have a dress rehearsal for Halloween night.

Isn't he the cutest little cowboy ever?

Aunt Mar-Mar comes to town

Another busy weekend in the Alexander household.

Jason's Aunt Margaret arrived Friday night for a weekend visit. We all had a great time having her here, especially the boys. Nicholas ran in from school Friday, saw her and ran over to give her a hug. Nolan loves to say everything is his, so by the end of the weekend is was "My Aunt Mar Mar". So cute!

We all braved the cold, wet weather Saturday morning to watch Nicholas's soccer game. All I can say is Brrrr! After that we didn't do much, but hang around the house and watch football. It was a nice day and a great visit with Aunt Mar-Mar. Can't wait for her to come back.

Sunday, the boys had a b-day party for one of Nicholas's class mates, Josh. Josh was in the crib next to Nicholas in the nursery at daycare, so they go way back :) Hard to believe he is 5 and Nicholas soon will be.

This and That

What a busy week and weekend!

Wednesday night, my Mom, sister Jamie and her 3 kids arrived. We had a houseful, but it was a lot of fun!

Thursday, we all piled into my sister's huge SUV and headed to Burt's Pumpkin Patch. This is the most awesome pumpkin place. Huge pumpkins! The kids loved it. We all got pumpkins and took a hay ride.

Nolan was amazed by how big the pumpkins were!

Friday we went to the mall to play on the playground and then headed to the GA aquarium. Nolan kept pointing to everything and saying "fishes"!

Cousins...Nolan wouldn't get in the picture. And yes, Nicholas and his cousin Jake are dressed the same...they insisted :)

Saturday I headed to B'ham for my friend Julie's baby shower. She is expecting her 1st. A little boy. It was so weird to see her with her cute little pregnant belly! She got so much cute stuff. I can't wait to hold little Jude.

This is a picture of me with my 3 best friends from high school. Yes, we are all still friends.
