Kindergarten here we come!

Nicholas had his Pre-K graduation this past Tuesday. It was so cute and I didn't cry! Almost did 3 times, but I kept it together. No promises for the 1st day of school :)

They sang songs and got silly awards and their diplomas. Nicholas got the award for best dinosaur sound. He loves to roar like a T-Rex. Thank God for Advil, because he has taught little brother this sound also.

Below are some pics of our big boy...I'm so proud of him!

Mother's Day Weekend

What a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend! My parents came up to watch Nicholas play t-ball on Saturday. He loved having an audience...a little too much. He took a little too much time walking to home plate to bat because he was smiling and posing the whole way!

Unfortunately, my parents had to leave Saturday night (after a yummy dinner at Dreamland) so they missed our Mother's Day adventure. This is something I started when Nicholas was one. Instead of taking time for myself on Mother's Day, I choose to send the day with the reason I get to celebrate Mother's Day. We call them our Mother's Day adventure. I still choose the adventures until they are old enough to decide where they want to go. I hope this is something we will continue for years to come. I have come to cherish our adventure days.

This year we headed to the Yellow River Game Ranch in Atlanta. It was awesome. They had everything from chickens and ducks, to deer and bears, to cougars and buffalo. The deer were so tame that you could walk right up to them and feed them. I highly recommend this place. Nicholas ran through the whole thing in amazement at the animals. Nolan takes everything in a little more slowly. He likes to stop and enjoy it....a lot like his dad and Nicholas is a lot like me :) My little Nolan loves animals. I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to be a vet one day. He is so sweet and gentle with every animal he meets.

Six Flags

We spent today at Frito Lay Family day at Six Flags. We all had a great time. I rode the Superman roller coaster which was AWESOME!

Boys in Bugs Bunny Land. Nolan rode this about 3 times

Waiting in line...didn't you do the same thing as a kid?

Girls Weekend

Last weekend I got to spend some time with some old friends in Birmingham. We had a spa day at Ross Bridge Spa which was so nice and then had dinner. We then stayed at a hotel without kids! It was so nice to get away for a night and not be a Mommy. I love these girls so much and wish we all lived closer.

I've known Julie (in the back with me) forever. We have pictures of us in church preschool. However, we weren't really friends until 10th grade and have been best buds ever since. We went to Troy together and both pledged Phi Mu.

Kara (in the white) was my big sister in my sorority and introduced me to Jason years later. I guess I owe her a lot!

Gail, also a Phi Mu, was a year ahead of me. She has always been such a great person and fun girl to go out with!

So 10 years after college, here we are. Hope to see you all again soon!
