Beautiful Day

What a beautiful day! It was amazing. 70 degrees and sunny! We decided to spend the afternoon at the park with some friends.

First we had a picnic lunch.

Then we played, and played and played. We also went on a nature walk and then played some more.

Then we headed home and decided to enjoy the outside some more. Nolan decided to mow the grass.

And Nicholas washed the car.

And then they washed themselves :)

Later on we played in the backyard and jumped on the trampoline. All in all a great day! The boys are happy and exhausted. In fact, Nolan has fallen asleep on the couch as I am writing this :)

Happy Birthday to my sister!

Happy Birthday to my best friend and big sis, Jamie! I wish I could be there to celebrate with her. She has been by my side since birth. Has always had my back and given me a shoulder to cry on. She is the main reason why I moved to Atlanta after college. I was so scared to move by myself to a new place. Instead of telling me to stay close to home and her, she encouraged me to go and gave me the courage to do so. For that and so much more, I'm so lucky to have her for my sister and friend! I love you!

Thrifty Mommy

I met my Mom and sister Jamie in Columbus last Saturday for some shopping. We hit the usuals, but then found the best store ever. If you are in or near Columbus, GA, you must go here. Joey's Thrift Mall on 10th Ave. It was awesome! The biggest thrift store in Columbus. We all found such great deals. My mom got a lamp for $7! Below is some of my deals.

Punch Ball with 5 cups - I think I paid around $9.

Cute bowl - $6

Picture - $6. Didn't really like the frame so I brought a new one at Joann's for $15.

Ta Da...new work of art!
Already planning on going back to this place soon!

Happy Early Birthday to Me!

Some early birthday presents to myself :)

First, the light bulb blew in the kitchen light, so Jason decided we needed to get rid of it.

and get these instead! Love them! Of course, now I will have to paint the ceiling to repair where the other light was, but totally worth it. Which brings up another question...paint the ceiling white or a color?

I also got this from overstock.com...my favorite website.

New rug for under the kitchen table. Made the table look so much better.
