Close Call

Last Tuesday, Nicholas took a spill on his bike. He landed on his right side and was scraped from head to toe. We had quite scare as he was dizzy and had a headache for several hours. After talking to a nurse, we took him the ER. They cleaned him up and sent us back home to watch him. He woke up Wednesday with a little headache and I thought the worse was behind us, but I was wrong. About an hour later he got sick. I called the dr and they told us to take him back to the ER to make sure he didn't have a head injury. After a couple of hours of observation, they did a Cat Scan and finally we knew nothing was wrong. By that night he was back to his old self, except for couple of scrapes.

I am so proud of how brave Nicholas was through all of this. He was amazing! He got back on his bike today and never showed any fear.

So grateful for all the friends and family and the prayers through the whole ordeal.

Rainbow Pancakes and little green men

Happy Belated St Patty's Day!

The 1st graders had a school project to make a leprechaun trap. Nicholas had so much fun designing and creating his. The cloud falls down and traps the little green guy when he touches the gold.

To celebrate at school, I went and made rainbow pancakes for his class. We had green, blue and red pancakes topped with syrup, butter and whipped cream. The kids loved them!

Blue and Gold

Nicholas celebrated his first blue and gold banquet in cub scouts and earned his tiger badge. Cub scouts has been an amazing experience. It is a group of great people and Nicholas has enjoyed it so much.

Mother's Tea

Nolan's Class held a Mother's Tea today. It was so sweet. Cookies, cucumber sandwiches and of course tea! Each child had made a sweet place mat with their hand prints and filled out a questionnaire about their Mommies. According to Nolan, I am 10 and weigh 6 pounds! I love my little Nolan! As much as he drives me crazy, he is my baby and gives such love.
