Visit with the Cousins

What a fun weekend! Grandmomma, Aunt J, Jake, Scout and Cole got here Thursday night. All the kids had a blast playing in the back yard. Cole even learned how to climb up the slide!

Friday we all headed to the Children's Museum in Downtown Atlanta. The kids loved it. They had some really neat things in there. I love the pic of Nolan with the elephant hat on. Roll Tide!

After the museum we all went to the CNN center to eat then we headed to Centennial Olympic Park to let the kids run through the water rings. Jake loved it! Nicholas finally warmed up to it once I ran thru it with him.

Everyone went home Saturday morning. Nicholas and Daddy then went to a birthday party at Chucky Cheese. I got to stay home since Nolan was napping :) Sometimes you get lucky! Daddy is playing softball today. Double header...so he won't be home for awhile. Nicholas is enjoying Charlotte's Web on the TV.

Short week at work again this week. We are heading to Dothan Thursday night and then down to the beach for the day on the 4th. I can't wait to feel the sand between my toes!

Grandma is coming!

Nolan's eyes cleared up yesterday morning, so he went back to school so I could go to work. Hopefully, we will all stay well for a while.

Nicholas is so excited because Grandmomma and his cousin Jake are coming tonight. Of course, Aunt Jamie, Scout and Cole are coming too, but that doesn't seem to matter as much. Sorry Aunt J! He has been talking about it for at least a week. Everyday I get asked at least a million times, "When are Grandmomma and Jake coming?" When I reply Thursday night, I get asked "Is today Thursday?". He gets so mad when I say No. Of course it has been a great way to get him to listen. When he doesn't listen I tell him I'm calling Grandmomma and telling her not to come. He jumps up and does what I asked right away! I don't know what I'll do next week :)

He has even figured out the all the sleeping arrangements. He tells me every night, when Jake comes he can sleep in his bed with Grandmomma and he can sleep with me and Daddy. It is so cute.

I talked to Aunt J last night and Jake has decided what he, Nicholas and Cole are going to wear tomorrow. They are all wearing their baseball shirts that Grandmomma monogrammed for them. Jake won't even wear his yet because he doesn't want to risk it being dirty for when he sees Nicholas. The two of them are so cute together. For those of you that don't know, Jake is 4, Scout is 2 and Cole is 1. It will be a fun crazy house while they are here. I'm really looking forward to it. We are taking all the kids to the Children's museum tomorrow and depending on the weather we are going to let them play in the fountain of rings at Centennial Olympic Park afterwards.

I really wish we all lived closer so the kids could see each other more often. I can't wait to see if Nolan and Cole are going to be as cute together as Nicholas and Jake. Something tells me they will be :)

When it rains....

It never fails, you get one kid well and another gets sick. Funny thing is, Nolan doesn't have what Nicholas had. Nolan has pink eye and an ear infection. He isn't acting sick at all. The only reason I took him to the doctor was because of his eye. Daycare wouldn't let him back in until they knew it wasn't pink eye. Now you tell me, does this look like a sick child.

I just took this. Hopefully his eye will be clear tomorrow so he can go back to school and I can go back to work.
Nicholas had costume day at school today. He was so excited to wear his Mickey Mouse costume again. I've never seen him so excited to go to school. They had a parade this morning which I missed since I was at the doctor with Nolan.

Weekend in Review

Not much new here. We spent a low-key weekend at home. Saturday my wonderful husband let me sleep until 9:30! Nicholas didn't even come in to wake me up. We all loaded up in the car and went to Target and chick-fil-a, back home for naps and then we went to the pool. It rained a little around lunch on Saturday, so the pool was kinda cold so we didn't stay long. Both kids went to bed early and Jason and I got to watch a movie together. I can't remember the last time that happened. Today we were really lazy and didn't do much at all. Nolan took a 3 hour nap. Yes, that's right...a 3 hour nap! Nicholas and I went to the grocery store and then I spent the afternoon working on my new puzzle. I bought one at Target on Saturday. 1000 pieces. I'm almost done :)

Nicholas is back at school

Thanks for all the prayers. Nicholas was like a different kid yesterday. He ate and drank normally and was his usual bouncing off the walls self. I'm glad to see him back to normal. He's back at school today with Nolan and I'm back at work. It feels really weird. It's Thursday, but this is my first day having to get up and dressed this week :)

Happy Wednesday to everyone. I'm still working from home today since Nicholas is still sick. I called the doctor's office yesterday and they are pretty sure he has hand foot and mouth disease based on what I told them. He doesn't have a fever anymore, but he isn't eating or drinking a lot. Right now I'm worried about dehydration. Please pray that he starts eating and drinking normally today.

I thought this was a cute pic of Nolan. He fell asleep in his seat holding onto his toy :)

Father's Day Fun

What a weekend! Our old neighbors were in town. Stacy is pregnant with her 3rd child (her 1st girl). I threw her a baby shower on Saturday. It was so much fun. She already has two little boys. Nicholas had so much fun playing with them Friday and Saturday. He was wore out! It was great to spend time with Stacy again. I miss having her here.

We had a fun day on Sunday to celebrate Father's Day. We went to church and then took Daddy to lunch at Jason's Deli. Then it was off to play putt-putt. It was so much fun. Daddy only beat me by 8 strokes. Not bad since I haven't golfed in about 7 years. Nolan and I went home after golf and Daddy and Nicholas went and saw Kung Fu Panda. They both said it was really good.
Of course, Nicholas got sick last night. Some sort of bug, he is running a fever. So he is home with me today watching cartoons.

This is a pic of Nicholas helping me make brownies on Saturday. He has learned that you help Mommy so you get to lick the spoon :)

Laughing Nolan

Nicholas was jumping around being his usual self tonight and cracking Nolan up. I thought everyone would enjoy the video.

Also, here are some pics of Nolan playing last night in his room that I thought were cute. He was in love with the colored balls.

Da Da

Here's the pic of Nolan holding his bottle that I promised. Isn't he so cute?
He started talking last night. He says Da Da and smiles :)

Lazy Days of Summer

Sorry I haven't posted all week. Jason and I have both been getting over colds so we have been going to bed right after Nicholas. Really weird to go to bed before the sun has gone down. Thank God that either of the boys got what we had.
We spent a nice weekend at home. Nolan started holding his own bottle Friday night. He is so cute with it. I'll post a pic later of him holding it. Saturday, I ran errands and then took Nicholas to the pool. The water was great. Nicholas had so much fun swimming around. Sunday, Jason had his 1st softball game. They won! We then took dinner up to our friends Paul and Melissa who just had baby #2. The cutest little boy. I already don't remember Nolan being that small.

Cute Pics

Not much new going on here. Some cute pics of the boys that I thought I would share. Nolan is chilling in the kitchen sink enjoying a bath and Nicholas is showing off his new speed racer.

Another Fun Weekend

What a great weekend! We started out by having a date night Friday night to celebrate Jason's birthday. I think my B-day was the last time we went out without kids. We went to a great restaurant downtown called 2 urban licks. Really good food.
Saturday, we all headed to Dothan to surprise my Dad with a retirement party. He was really surprised. We spent the day at my sister Jamie's house swimming and cooking out. It was a really good time. Nolan loved the water! Sorry, I don't have any pics. I left my camera in Atlanta. I also went to see Sex and the City with my sister Jamie Saturday night. Don't worry Stacy, I'm still going to go see it with you too. I thought it was really good. Great Ending!
This morning Nicholas and his cousin Jake got to ride the 4-wheeler with Granddad and then fished some with Granddaddy, Uncle Don and another cousin, Scout. All the kids thought the fish were gross :)
It was great to see the family and spend some downtime with everyone. Now time to get ready for Monday and another week!
