Rain, Rain Go away

I know we are in the middle of a draught and I shouldn't want rain to go away, but can't it rain during the week and not the weekend? It has been cold and rainy here since we woke up Saturday morning. That hasn't stopped us though. Saturday morning I walked a 5K race with some friends. Yes, we walked in the cold rain. Wasn't too bad, but let me tell you I sure enjoyed the hot bath when I got back :) In the afternoon we all bundled up and headed to Lowe's. We got a new outside light and a new counter top for the upstairs bath. I'll post pics once my handy man (aka Jason) finishes the job :) We also managed to go out to eat with some friends and leave the kids with the babysitter. So nice to get away. Yummy food and good conversation..who could ask for anything more.

Speaking of Jason, he is playing his last b-ball game of the season. The finals are today. Of course, they won so they have one more game today. I'll be glad to get my Sundays back...well until Softball season starts. I know what you are all thinking, sports on a Sunday? What about Church? He actually plays in the Catholic league. I guess they figure we have so many masses we can go to in a weekend that it doesn't matter if they play on Sundays. I guess that person doesn't have kids and have to deal with dinner times and nap schedules.

Hope your day is drier than ours. Have a good week. Oh, I'm still waiting for my new toy to be delivered. Hopefully next week. I'll end the suspense b/c I know you are all dying to know...I'm getting a new dishwasher. A beautiful, quiet stainless steel dishwasher. I can't wait.
