Touch a Truck

This Saturday was Alpharetta's annual Touch a Truck. They bring out all kinds of trucks and kids get to climb in them and explore. The boys love it. We all had a great time.

Afterwards, we spent the rest of the day working in the yard. I planted flowers and pulled weeds while Jason put out 45 bales of pine straw. Yes, 45. We were both exhausted and sunburned when it was over. On the bright side, maybe the sunburn will turn into a tan!

Sunday night, we had friends over for dinner. Nicholas got to see his best friend that switched schools. They ran up and hugged each other when he got to our house. It was so sweet.

Girls Weekend

This past weekend I got to meet up with my best friends from high school. We decided on Chattanooga this year and had a great time. We all found it hard to believe that it has been 13 years since high school! We always have a wonderful time together and it seems like no time has passed. I love you girls! Let's start planning next year!

Baseball Baby

Nolan loves balls so it was only natural that he would love sports also. He loves watching Golf on TV and loves to play baseball in the backyard. I love how he taps the bat to the ground between swings!

Nolan had his 18-mo checkup this past Tuesday. Below are his stats.

Height - 33.75 inches - 84th percentile
Weight - 25lb 15 oz - 49th percentile

Shaping up to be tall like Nicholas and Daddy.

Birthday Party, Easter and Old Friends

What a weekend! My Parents came up to help us celebrate Easter. Saturday, Jason and my Dad played Golf and the boys and I headed to a birthday party.

Saturday night Nicholas dyed his Easter Eggs as Grandmomma and Nolan watched and we all went out to eat at Relish. A great restaurant in Roswell. Yummy!

Sunday morning we got up to see what the Easter Bunny had brought us and then headed to church. We went to the 9am mass. We got there at 8:30 and was able to get a sit. This will be my mass on Holidays from now on. When we left at 10, there was already a huge # of people there for the 10:45 mass. Holidays are crazy at churches!

Sunday afternoon we had some kids over for an Egg Hunt. Our neighborhood normally does a hunt every year, but it got canceled this year because of Spring Break :( So we had to do one ourselves. Nolan was still napping, so he missed out.

Last night we had some old friends over for dinner. Susannah, her husband Adam, and adorable son Anderson came over for dinner. I went to high school with Susannah and her husband and they were in town for Spring Break. It was so nice to catch up with her outside of the blog world! We had to take a pic mostly because we were so jealous of Becky's and Hillary's girl date a couple of months back :)

Just when you thought it was safe...

Just when you thought it was safe to turn your head on 2 kids, this is what happens to the little one. I can't even begin to imagine how one loses clothes while playing.

This is the little monsters, I mean sweet adorable boys later in the bath. Special treat...bubbles!

Sick, Sick go away and don't come again

What a Week and Weekend! One I don't want to live again in the near future. It all started with Nolan running a fever Wednesday at school. I got him home and he ran a fever on and off all night and didn't eat. Of course, he still had a fever Thursday morning. So no school. We went to the doctor and he had a sinus infection. So Thursday and Friday I worked from home with both kids there. Not the easiest thing to do. Nicholas is fine, but Nolan doesn't understand that Mommy has to work. Yes, Nicholas could have gone to school, but he helps me entertain Nolan so he stayed home. Poor little kid, he didn't start feeling better until Sunday. He seems to be okay now. Jason was gone Saturday, so that's 3, yes 3 days at home with a sick kid and a big brother that loves to annoy him. Anybody else with 2 kids have this problem? Nicholas lives to bother Nolan. Don't get me wrong, they play together really well about 80% of the time. It seems like when you are trying to do something is when Nicholas loves to bother him. I guess he is trying to get my attention.

Nicholas also is going through a stage where he loves to pretend to be a monster or a dinosaur. He goes around roaring. He even told me his middle name is now T-Rex. Where do they come up with this stuff? My poor boss called Friday to talk to me and she asked what that was in the background. Oh, that's just my dinosaur son :) Luckily she has small kids so she just laughed.

Here's a pic of the boys vegging in front of the TV watching cartoons. I thought they looked so relaxed. I was jealous :)
