Soccer Practice

Nicholas had his 1st soccer practice this past Monday. He loved it and can't wait to go back. After watching 4 and 5 year olds practice soccer, the games should be entertaining :)

This is Nolan mad because he can't play with the big kids :)

Saturday Fun

We spent a fun Saturday over in Kennesaw, GA. We first went to the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History. The boys loved it. As we were leaving Nicholas told me that Train Museums are Awesome.

Jason and Nolan with the General. The Yankees tried to steal it during the war of Northern aggression, but the Rebs stopped them :)

Nicholas enjoying the kids area

We then went over to Kennesaw Mountain, which is civil war battlefield that was part of the Battle for Atlanta. We took a bus to the top. I think if Nolan could he would tell that his favorite part of the day was the bus ride :)

All Better!

As you can tell, Nicholas is feeling much better today. He woke up and looked at me and said, "Mommy, my throat doesn't hurt anymore, but I still don't want to go to school"! Since the doctor doesn't want him to go back until tomorrow he got his wish. So we are all home today.

As you can tell, Nolan is doing good also. He is enjoying his waffles and watching Sesame Street. Aah the life!

Sunday Fun

We had a b'que at our house Sunday. So much fun. I think there were 8 kids all together. They all enjoyed playing in the water outside.

Now we are dealing with sickness in our house. Found out this morning that Nicholas has strep. He can't go back to school until Thursday. Pray that Nolan doesn't get it.

Hot-lanta and 1st day of school

Atlanta has been living up to it's nickname the past week! Man it is hot! I know, some of you that live in South Alabama will tell me I don't know what hot is, but I'm not used to 100 degree days anymore. When they come, it is a shock to the system :)

We have been trying to stay cool here. I got a baby pool on Friday and we have already been in it twice. The boys are loving it as you can see from the pics below.

We also got out the sidewalk paint and had a blast.

After painting the patio, they decided it was more fun to paint themselves

And it was really fun to paint Mommy!

Nolan, with a little help from Nicholas, managed to paint his whole body. Our little piece of art. Thank God it washes off easily with a hose :)

Nicholas started Pre-K yesterday. He is still adjusting to being in a classroom environment, but I'm hopeful he'll get the hang of it soon. We started the day with pancakes which both of them loved. Yes, Nolan must eat with his ball next to him.

Here's my big boy ready to go. Doesn't he look so cute? For some reason I don't think he should be old enough for this yet.

Family Reunion

We spent Saturday at Lake Martin in Alabama for a family reunion with my Mom's side of the family. We all had a great time seeing everyone. The kids loved playing with cousins and in the water. Can't wait for next year!

Rainy Day Activities

What to do when it has rained almost everyday for a week...to wet to go outside...so let's have some fun inside...

First, you lay around and watch cartoons...Oh the life!

You get Mom to build a Fort to play in....

You Blow bubbles and catch them on wand...

You ride around the house on toys....

and when you get tired of riding forward, you go backwards...

You wonder why you must play in your diaper and underwear...Where are my clothes?
Well, Mommy is behind on laundry :)

Why is Mommy so behind? Well, she has been busy making new curtains for the family room and breakfast area. Priorities people
Before, not bad, but after looking at it for 6 years I needed a change.

After....

Breakfast area after..forgot to do a before

Now I just need to make some throw pillows to match. Of course, laundry first!
