Conversations with Nicholas

I love talking with a 4 year old!

On the way home today we were talking about the weekend coming up. We are meeting my sister Jamie and her family in Pine Mountain, GA for the Animal Safari. Nicholas is really excited about getting to see everyone and all the animals. I'm talking about seeing lions, tigers, rhinos, etc. and this is where the conversation went.

N: Mommy, will we see Dinosaurs? (FYI, he is really into T-Rex right now, ie. acting like one)
M: No, because they don't exist anymore. They lived a long time ago.
N: Oh, they're dead?
M: Yes
N: Can you bring them back?
M: No, because I'm not God
N: Oh, can you ask Jesus to bring them back
M: You can ask Jesus in your prayers
N: No, you ask.

I guess he thinks Jesus has to listen to Mommy too :)

At bed time we talked about the Safari again and getting to see Aunt Jamie and Jake, etc.

N: Is Grandmomma and Granddaddy coming too?
M: No, they are going on a trip to Mississippi
N: Are we going to see them?
M: Yes, we will visit them soon
N: At Mr Zippy's house?
M: Who's house?
N: Mr Zippy's like you just said.

I guess Mississippi to a 4 year old is Mr Zippy's house :)

Also at bed time while saying prayers he said to pray for our family and then proceeded to list Aunt Jamie first! Hey...what about Mommy? I can't get any love around here :)
