A weekend of Firsts

What a weekend! It rained a lot, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our 3 days. I was on call for work, so I couldn't leave Atlanta which meant we had to celebrate our Holiday here.

Saturday our friends the Maloney's come over from B-ham with their 2 little ones. The kids haven't seen each other in a year, but picked right back up where they left off and played so well together. Nicholas even prayed for Lily Sunday night after they left in his nightly prayers. So sweet! All of us headed downtown Saturday afternoon and ate dinner at the Varsity and then went to watch the Braves. This was the 1st baseball game for my boys. I think they liked it. Of course, being a night game we only made it to the top of the 5th inning. At least now we know that they can handle it.

Sunday the Maloney's left and we headed to the movies. Yes, that's right, we all went to the movies. Nolan's 1st movie! We went and saw the 2nd Museum movie. So awesome! Nolan made it thru the whole movie. I was so impressed!

Yesterday, we took advantage of the break in the rain and went to the park to play. The boys had a great time until it started raining again :) Oh well. My only regret for the weekend was not making it to the pool. It was never sunny enough. Hopefully we will get there soon.
