Happy Anniversary

Happy 7th Anniversary to my husband. That's right, Monday marks 7 years as a "happily" married couple :) It has been a fabulous 7 years. Buying our 1st home, adding a dog to the mix, and then the addition of 2 little boys that light up my live everyday. Who could have guessed all the joy and sorrow we were going to encounter in the past 7 years. I wouldn't change a single moment. I can't wait to see what else the future holds. I love you!

Every year we have taken a trip to mark our anniversary. I hope we can continue for every anniversary until we are the little old couple hitting the early bird specials at the tourist spots :) Thanks to my parents we watch the kids every July so we can go somewhere. You guys are the best!

Here's a look back at the past 7 years....

Where is all began...our wedding July 27, 2002

Our 1st time leaving Nicholas.
It was so hard, but it was nice to be just us for a couple of days.

4th anniversary..Las Vegas.
We made a day trip to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam

5th anniversary...Boston.
Little Nolan joined us on this trip as I was pregnant.

6th anniversary....Savannah. My favorite city!

To grandparents house we go...

Happy Thursday! It has been a fun week for us. It started last Friday when we packed up and headed to my parents house in Dothan. We left the boys in their care and Jason and I went to SeaGrove Beach on 30A for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary a couple of weeks early. We go somewhere every year. We are so lucky to have such great grandparents to watch the kids! Thanks Mom and Dad! It was so relaxing to just sit on the beach and read a book. I don't remember the last time I did that. We really missed the boys though.

This is where we stayed...Sugar Beach Inn
Jason and I

One of the beast things...we got to meet up with our friends Stacy and Erin. They used to live down the street from us, but moved to FL a couple of years ago. Ignore how bad I look here...it was 900 degrees!

Sunday, we headed back to Dothan and Jason continued back home to Atlanta. I stayed with the boys to have some more fun with Grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. My sister, Jamie, lives down there too. She has 3 little ones and the best toys!

This is us riding the electric scooter.
So much fun and I really want one now
...In case you need a gift idea for me :)

We did so much in our 2 days...
Went to Kidz Kastle....

Played in the sprinkler at Grandmomma's and Granddaddy's house...

and went to Water World...

My nephew Jake and I even braved the Great White Slide at Water World...

It was a great time and we can't wait to get back for more adventures!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. Thursday, the kids had a parade at school. I enjoy watching it every year. This was the 1st year that Nolan got to do it. He walked out the door, saw me and ran over. He eventually went back to his class and walked with them. He is so cute, I could just eat him up.

As if one parade wasn't enough, our neighborhood also does a parade on the morning of the 4th. Nicholas was so excited to decorate his 4-wheeler and the wagon for Nolan. He was so cute riding around the neighborhood. They had ice cream afterwards for all the kids.

After the parade we headed up to Helen, GA to go tubing down the Chattahoochee. We used Cool River Tubing which was wonderful. The kids had a blast. Nicholas even went down the water slide which shocked me. I didn't think he would do it. We had so much fun, we are planning on going back in a couple of weeks. It only took an hour to get up there which was nice. After tubing, we headed home and enjoyed the Alpharetta fireworks from our backyard. It is so nice to be able to see them from home and not have to head out in the crowd...especially with little ones.

I hope everyone out there had a great 4th!

The best toy...a must buy

The best toy in the world in my opinion anyway, Geo Tracks by Fisher Price. We started our collection when Nicholas was 2 and it has grown over the years as proved by the pics below. Both boys love it. They will actually go upstairs without me and play. Pure Bliss for a tired mommy.

I love the way both of them play with it in different ways. Nolan loves to follow his train around and "help" it up hills and around curves. It is so cute to watch. Nicholas loves to play pretend and he will stop a stations and pick people up and drop them off at work, etc. He has also been that way. The train needed a job and he was helping it.

When I get the camera out, Nolan sits down and says cheese every time.

I've already picked out what Santa is going to bring us this year to expand our city. I know we have a ton, but it so much fun to play with I can't help myself. Yes, mommy even enjoys playing with it and designing new track layouts. A toy for the whole family, what a value! I think the recommended age is 3 to 7 years, but as I've already mentioned even 31 year olds love it!
